Re: Prepar3D v5.2 compatibility
I don't know as I'm no programmer, just going off what I've been told.kevin_firth wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:07 amCould we have a little more technical info about what exactly seems to be broken/have changed between 5.1 and 5.2 please? I'd be happy to post at the LM forums asking for a fix there, but I don't think it would be terribly effective without some hard information to press the point. Thanks![]()

Is it possible the programmer is either not up to the task or just doesn’t want to do the fix?
I’m mystified how a point update with an established SDK can break something as ordinary as a weather radar.

Re: Prepar3D v5.2 compatibility
I'd be grateful if you could ask please Steve? I remember there was a post somewhere on the forum that gave a bit more info about what was now wrong, but despite searching I can't seem to find it. I understand it's not a priority for Milviz, but it's something I'd be willing to have a dialog with LM about, if it's possible to actually understand what the issue seems to be nowSlayer wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 7:01 pmI don't know as I'm no programmer, just going off what I've been told.kevin_firth wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:07 amCould we have a little more technical info about what exactly seems to be broken/have changed between 5.1 and 5.2 please? If it's just not going to happen, that's ok, I'll pipe down

I doubt it's either of those Ray. Most probably there are a zillion other things on the go and time is precious. It's not exactly unknown for things to break in point releases either, but if it would be possible to fix from either end at some point that would of course be great.rayproudfoot wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 7:06 pmIs it possible the programmer is either not up to the task or just doesn’t want to do the fix?

Re: Prepar3D v5.2 compatibility
Maybe P3D is now the lowest priority plus the fact it’s a low price utility. Yes, things can get broken but not terminally so.kevin_firth wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:28 amI doubt it's either of those Ray.
