Script error during install (MV_PC-6_MSFS_v1.0.8_211022)
I purchased the Porter PC-6 today and was looking forward to try her out but somehow I cannot get the aircraft installed.
Although I started the installer with local administrator rights and disabled Windows Defender I get the error message below during install:

I tried creating a log but it doesn't to show a lot information.

Are you using a 3rd party add on manager? These routinely break the 256 character filepath limit for Windows....

No, not for commercial addons. These are installed directly in my community folder.
If you want me to test a few things I am happy to do so. I hope it works out because I am eager to start flying the Porter

Well, if you have any add on manager installed you will temporarily have to remove it completely or it will still cause issues whether or not it is used during the install.
Every case of this I have seen is caused by one of these programs.

I finally managed to install the PC6 but the problem did not appear to be the addon manager.
The addon manager I use, MSFS Addon linker, is not active in the background so I don't see how it can interfere with an installation process.
Apart from that both Orbx (Orbx Central) and Aerosoft (Aerosoft One) also use symbolic links to manage their own addons, so my Community folder is containing a lot of symbolic links.
The culprit in my case was a dozen or so Console Window Host processes that were running in the background. These started to appear after I upgraded to Windows 11 and seemed to block several scripts from running, including those started by the installation of the PC-6.
After terminating all those processes I was able to succesfully install the PC-6.
It seems a few drivers that try to start with Windows cause these problems so I probably want to do a complete fresh install of Windows 11 instead of an upgrade. I have to find a nice quiet weekend to do this though.
Anyway, thanks for your hints and a great aircraft I can now start to appreciate. On my first short flight I already managed to get a 'chip detect' warning and low oil pressure so I am probably going to enjoy this aircraft a lot. Just glad I don't have to pay for repairs

Glad you are sorted.
I did have 1 other report of a W11 problem previously but I have since upgraded to W11 and the installers I'm building appear to be fine.
Chip detect means there's metal shavings in the oil
Go easy on her
