Jet Beam

Post by wen » Thu Mar 29, 2018 3:58 pm

Hi! For some reason, I can no longer see the jet beam in external ChasePlane view when afterburner is selected in my F-4E. I can see the normal black smoke byte not the jet beam. Please, I need some help here.

Can you see it without chase plane?

No, I can not. Now in the same time the issue I had a few days ago is back again, one or two engine flame out. Two seconds before they flame out the AoA lamps in the front cockpit flickering twice. Even the AoA gauge flickering twice. Always the same procedure.

I´m not a very good explainer. Jet Beam=Blue fire/gas flame spraying out of the engines nozzle at full throttle.

Ah the afterburner effect.

If you are seeing the black smoke the engine is not in afterburner. Confirm the throttle position in the virtual cockpit is in Max? Fuel flow pegged at max display? Nozzle indicators showing fully open?

Yes, Throttle set to max in VC, Fuel Flow max at display and Nozzle full open. No Afterburner effect. By the way, the engine do not flame out during the last five take off tonight.
I reach 1035 knot, true airspeed at FL200 without bombs and extra fuel cell added.

Sorry, but it's very hard for me to understand what the problem(s) is(are).

You're mentioning many things in a quite confusing/misleading way, and it's imposible to trace anything as each of your " issues " has many many. .many code core involvements very hard to debug (if really a bug) with such random info.

The F 4 ADV is VERY complex.

So, my recommendations :

- read the TO1 manual (ALL parts related to your issues)

- read the adv user guide

- disable ALL ADV realism options (no box ticked)

- disable all additional addons (weather, acussim, ezdok, etc...) accusim and ezdok are incompatible, at least some of their options.

- fly her.

- If no issues enable weather and Compatible addons (so far all but the two mentioned above )

- fly her.

- if no issues activate one realism option each time and extensively test.

This way, at least, the problem can start being traced.

Thank´s for the info! The only issue for the moment is that the visual Afterburner Effect for some reason has disappear. No big deal at all but a little strange. I doubt it is a bug inside the F-4E.
