Save In-Flight

Post by silentsage » Fri May 12, 2017 1:11 pm

Is there any way to save a scenario with the advanced Phantom while in mid-flight (i.e., not at start-up)? I've tried it a few times and it restarts out-of-control. Thanks.

That issue is caused by the ADV´s external FDE initialization after the flight is loaded and simulation started. I´ll look into a way for improving (well, smoothing) it... but sometimes fixing things breaks another ones...

We'll be releasing a Service Pack for the F4E ADV soon, hopefully this fix will be included in the list.

Regards,

Álvaro

*edit*

As workaround use "Pause" before saving the flight.
Once the flight loaded and before toggle pause, activate SAS (and AFCS) this will avoid entering into a departure or spin and will result in a more controlled flight initialization.

Ok, the initialization issue is fixed. ;)

(Actually I had it already included in the list of things to be improved.)

There will be SEVERAL improvements and fixes in the next build, this one included. Once tested by our the beta team we´ll release it. A list with the fixes/improvements will be posted too.

Cheers,

Álvaro

PS: thanks for your comments, much appreciated! :)
