Hi,
while the C&D state works perfectly for the E version, this doesn't happen for the ADV J/S. 2/3 seconds after switching the right engine, sound disappears and it's all over. All freezes.
Not so important, I can start with the ready to fly function, but I should like if I'm making something wrong.
Just installed the latest ADV version.

Which simulator?

The last one, P3D v4.5. Some problem with this one for the J/S version?

What's your base installer package version number?

base package is vA1.17220. But I realize I've just received from you the vA1.180712. I guess I have to install this last one, correct? But strangely, the very same older J version does work properly.
BTW, I have to install both the 180712 versions + the ADV ones. is it so?

just a brief feedback. Un-installed and re-installed the new versions, but the issue remains. Just after clicking to start the right engine, any action freezes.

Was the ADV installer run as admin?

All the add-ons are run as admin.

Please go to start menu->search->Event Viewer->Windows logs->Application and see if there is an error involving P3D or the F-4. Post the text here.

unfortunately no error in the records. I took a look just one second after trying two times the C&D start, but to no avail.
I'm afraid we'll put this issue in the Sim-unsolved mystery-bucket - this issue happened both in Win7 pro and Win 10 OS and both in the former and last P3D version. And all this after reinstalling all the stuff following the change of the processor (now an Intel i7 7700K).

PS:The other big mystery remains the P-38 interior lights; they doesn't work at all to all the simmers.

I'm not about to give up. I suspect something is preventing the ADV module from loading. Confirm there is a F4_mod.dll in your SimObjects\Airplanes\Milviz Phantom II S/J\panel\F4ADV folder? If it is there, right click on it select properties and check if there is an unblock button/checkbox?

the only box is in the "Sicurezza (Security)", where I added right now the "Complete control (Controllo completo)". Now I'm flying, but as soon as I end my flight I'll check if something changed. Just for the record, "Consenti"="Allow", "Nega"= "Deny"
Of course I can only but thank you in not giving up.

The unblock button should be on the General tab.

here are the 3 versions .dll properties. To me they look identical (j, s and e).

I hate to ask this but please do a double check that your P3D is set to run as admin. Sometimes (especially after windows updates) P3D's Run as admin setting gets reset.
