Check your P3D controller page and see if your controls are set to use Direct Input or Raw Input. If the latter, change it to Direct Input.

Tried changing to direct with no differences noted unfortunately. I spent another couple of hours trying anything I could think of, and finally selected just "
Throttle" for one side of the throttles and it worked both throttles without issue. It seems that this will not accept individual throttle commands for left and right engine (Throttle1 and 2) but accepts just "Throttle" which operates both sides (have to remove axis from Right side throttle). Is there something that identifies how many axis's you have for throttle input when installing the advanced module? Something had to change internally on the ADV program as it worked absolutely perfect in the Normal F4E and Tacpack setup. I am not allowing general settings to be applied when I set up profile specific so somehow it is setting up a single throttle input on its own. I even tried to remove the profile and activate the P3D axis, but even that did not work

Not really. All I do is monitor the single throttle event and if it receives inputs it will drive both throttles. If the other individual throttle events receive inputs they drive their respective throttles. Any chance you could send screenshots of your FSUIPC throttle calibration window?

Keyboard commands for the throttle will not work. Only axis commands are supported due to the complex nature of the engine control systems in the F-4E ADV.

I am finding out from Pete Dawson what needs to be done to solve the problem.

I had the same problem, and was able to fix it by deleting the FSUIPC profile I had for the previous version of the Phantom and then rebuilding it from scratch.

I was able to replicate the problem here when I put filters in on the axis calibration. Disabling them allows the events to go through to our code but I would guess that defeats the purpose of the FSUIPC calibration.

Ok here is the solution for now. It requires you to make a special profile for the F-4E ADV so that you don't end up wiping the calibration for another aircraft. In your calibration menu for the throttle axis commands, click the Reset button for each axis you are using. It will now show "Axis Not Processed". Then you will be able to get throttle inputs in the ADV.

Have the same problem with FSUIPC and the throttles. The temporary solution seems to work on my end.

Cheers,

John

It also worked here JB. Thanks again. Will this be corrected at some point or is it required to support some other feature?
