No GPU Start

Post by Markeebo » Thu Sep 14, 2017 6:07 pm

I've been scratching my head for quite a while and finally decided that its over my pay grade.

Since installing the ADV, I can no longer do a GPU-assisted air start.

Connect GPU
Throttles Cutoff
Engine masters on
Right Gen switch to EXT
Go to addons menu and select Signal Airflow Start

nothing. flow never starts.

I have no problems starting via cartridge.

Any ideas?

Do you move (click on) the right (or left) engine starter switch after selecting "Signal Airflow Start"?

Can you hear the GPU air sound spooling up after selecting "Signal Airflow Start"?.

Negative for both.

I believe that the starter is used to trigger the cartridge only

No air sound and no rotation on RPM gauge.

Thanks for replying.

You do need to use the starter switch.

The starter switch opens the right or left engine inlet valve allowing (or not) GPU air entering the corresponding engine.

Legacy from the none ADV where I misunderstood the manual. You do need to use the switch now.

Thank you both. I will check this out today and report back.

So, to be clear, using the starter switch with GPU hooked Up will NOT trigger a cartridge start as long as I signal airflow first?

If the GPU air start signal is not enabled, then the start logics will automatically switch to cartridge start.
