Oh well...I will keep tinkering with permissions in the F-4E folder and maybe I will fix it.

Hi guys, its me, the originator of the thread. My computer is back from the fixers and I've uninstalled and reloaded and still the problem persists. Does not anyone else have this problem? Is it only me?

Just one other curiosity, you did install the F-4E into the P3D directory? Ie you are not making use of P3D's addon.xml to place it somewhere other than P3D's directory?

Whoopie! All is well. I had a total root and branch uninstall of P3D as well as the F4. Went into regedit so as to get everything and whatever bug it was that was giving the headache has gone. Thanks for both your perseverance.

This is a great jet (looks great, sounds great, taxis great, and "feels" great). I just can't take off properly now. Any other ideas since earlier this month?

EZDOK V2 is the culprit. Now I just need to figure out how to disable EZDOK (don't want to uninstall) while keeping TRACKIR going.Try to disable EZdok v2
Thanks. Neal
