NVIDIA GTX660TI crash

Post by Jancors01 » Thu May 25, 2017 10:51 pm

Every time I fly the F4E Advanced, P3Dv3 crashes due to an issue with my graphics card (ASUS GTX660TI). Sometimes this happens immediately after F4E launch, sometimes I can fly 20 min before it happens.
The following message pops up:
"The device GTX660TI stopped working for the following reason:"
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
After that P3Dv3 stops.
I only have this issue with the F4E Advanced in P3Dv3, all other aircraft (including many Milviz addons) work flawlessly.
I don't have a clue how to solve, can somebody help me out?

It is actually a bug in P3D, not the F-4E (but aggravated by the F-4E's heavier dependence on the GPU for some systems) that is fixed in the upcoming v4. I believe they had some bug in the code that would assume the video card had crashed if it took too long to render something.
