Updated to v3.180411 and there is a major sound bug. Only in the virtual cockpit. It starts low (cant describe the noise)and increase in volume than what sounds like closing door or gear doors. It stops than starts the cycle again. You can stop the noise by hitting any switch in the cockpit. Once it stops, it begins again. Very distracting and annoying. Please fix.

You are hearing the door seal relief valve blowing off overpressure. It's not a 'bug' it's a feature of the real aircraft.

Interesting. Does it at sea level too.
An interesting note is that the sound ceases when you select any switch. Than, after a few seconds the sound builds again.
Is there a way to disable this sound?

You "disable it" by clicking the rightmost switch in the panel, labeled Door Seal. You will hear the seal being inflated and Ta-Da! no more weird sounds.
This is explained in page 2-14 of the beautiful manual that is included with the plane

I have done this but the building sound continues. Very annoying.

Maybe we are not talking about the same sound. Maybe you can create a video where we can hear it?

I find it impossible to "fix" that of which I have no knowledge...

Make sure that door seal switch on the upper right co-pilots side is staying in the "activate" (up) position. Check also the position of your fuel pump switches located leftmost below the pilot's yoke?

I to get this sound but I only here it before the plane starts when I first get in.I don't hear it after that even after stopping and turning her off and back on. It kind of sounds like ether a door not closed all the way or the brake releasing. I have looked around but nothing obvious. I been flying this for a few weeks now and loving it and the sound thing is no big thing just annoying. Ill try to nail it down abit more and get back to you.

Again, Maybe a recording so that we know what you are talking about?
If it's like a "swoop" every 5 to 10 seconds, it is the door seal and you can stop it as explained in the manual. If its another sound, then we need to hear it.

Your right by engaging the seal that sound goes away but I cant find anything about it in the manual. Ill just use it as a Que to engage the seal which it does say to do in the manual right after preflight . Thank you for the clarification.

I don't want to debate but there is no mention of the door flapping sound in the manual just the sounds that you here when you flip the switch on or off. We must not be talking about the same thing. All I know if i seal the doors the flapping door sound stops. Time to move on.
Thanks again for a great plane. Josh

Hi
I'd like to pick up the OP's question, since I hear an "annoying" sound too - maybe he and me speak of the same thing. It's a hight pitch, sort of ringing sound, maybe a gyro sound?
I went through the MV_310R installation folder and identified the sound file "snd14.wav" in the subfolder \panel\C310R_Sounds to be the one which hurts my ears. I do suffer from a tinnitus since I am 18 and the sound is similar to how it rings in my ears - not very pleasant to be honest.
If I knew where I could tune it down I would do it on my own, but in the sound.cfg file I did not find a reference to said sound file.
Maybe you can give me a hint on this - no need to change it for everybody else if they do not feel the same.
Thanks and Best Regards
Frank

You could use the free software Audacity to edit the .wav file to reduce its volume.
Alternatively you could replace the .wav file with a different .wav file containing silence, just google for "silent wav file".
