SP 2 Interior lights Problem
I have downloaded and installed SP 2 for this aircraft--I did so with my Antivirus disabled and I am running P3D 3.4xx as Administrator.
My problem is this: The only interior lights that work is the Radio light--both A\P & ADF illuminate. The Flight Inst. lights do not work when I adjust that knob; the Engine Instrument & Fuel Selector Lights do not work when adjusting the knob, the Panel lights do not work when adjusting that knob and the Overhead Cabin Lights do not turn on when I mouse click on an overhead light. I have also tried the keyboard command "L" key and I believe Shift + L with no success. All interior lights worked fine in the original Redux version--not sure why I am having this issue with SP 2.
Would appreciate any helpful actions to resolve this problem as I really am enjoying this Redux version of the C310R. For now, I reinstalled the original version.
Thanks,
Raymie

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
Your AV was on when you downloaded and installed it or you’re not running as admin.
These are the two most likely reasons

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
Just to confirm, does a Milviz Lighting Service appear in the task manager processes list?

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
I will do another download of SP 2. The previous download and installation was with my AVG disabled. I do run P3D 3.4xx as Administrator. I also checked and Win 10 Defender is turned off due to AVG being my primary Antivirus\Malware program. I also have my flight sim excluded from any antivirus-malware scan via AVG.
I will try this process over again with an uninstall of the Redux C310 and fresh install. I will also look for "Milviz Lighting Service" in the task manager processes list.

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
I tried this once more--
--My AVG antivirus\malware program was totally disabled--Windows Defender Turned Off
--I downloaded SP 2
--Uninstalled C310R Redux (ran as Admin)
--Installed this latest download of SP2 (ran as Admin). Installation process completed successfully including XML Tools
--I am running P3D 3.4 as Admin.
--Fired up P3D and selected this latest version of C310R Redux--and no change at all--same problems that I had previously--
----Both EDM gauges are not working--bars show but there is no digital readout--the two mode buttons at the base of each gauge do not work--no click spots. In previous install of SP2, I had to copy and past Milviz 310.dll from the original Redux panel folder--when I did this--the EDM gauges worked in previous SP2 install.
---With all four cockpit lighting knobs fully rotated to the right--the only one that works is the "Radio" knobs which illuminates both the AP and ADF.
--The overhead cabin lights do not work--there is no click spot to illuminate them like I find in the original version of the 310R Redux.
The only thing I have not yet checked for is the "Milviz Lighting Service" appearing in the task manager process list. I do not know where to look for that Item.

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
load up the task manager (press ctrl alt and delete) and go to processes. Check there.
If it's not loaded, you're not going to get lights.

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
Thanks for your helpful instructions--since I have never done this before, I am assuming the sim must be up and running with the aircraft set up with all interior lights on-then do the ctrl, alt, delete and processes selected.

Also,
Please look in your panel folder and confirm presence of Milviz_Lighting_Gauge.dll.

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
Please look in your panel folder and confirm presence of Milviz_Lighting_Gauge.dll. -- Yes, it is present in the SP2 panel folder
I did load up Task Manager while both in P3D with the Redux C310 selected and without P3D loaded-In both cases:
-Under "Processes" I did not see "Milviz Lighting Service. I looked under the "Apps", "Background processes" & "Window processes" It was not under any of those three categories.
What confuses me is this: If Milviz Lighting Service is missing, thus the cause for my problem in SP2, then why is the Radio lights working (AP and ADF)? Also, the exterior lights work--nav, rotating beacon, strobe, landing and taxi lights. Finally, all of the interior lights did work in the original Redux version. Maybe "Milviz Lighting Service" was loaded for the original and not for SP2? Also, for SP2, the EDM gauges did not work, but when I switched the "Milviz C310,dll from the panel folder of the original to SP2, the gauges now work fine in SP2.
What must I do to rectify the missing "Milviz Lighting Service"?
Sorry for all of this
Raymie

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
Ray, I understand you are using P3Dv3. If that is correct, then a mistake in the installer folder has been overwriting the 32bit versions of the modules with the 64bit versions (which are only for P3Dv4). As well, all of the pre-configured panel.cfg files for x64 were also installed...
I am so embarrassed that I didn't catch this. My only excuse is that I don't have P3Dv3 for testing purposes. A new and fixed installer will be available in just a few minutes.

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
Thanks Bill for your helpful and encouraging reply. I did see your post over at the "Unofficial" Milviz forum. I hope a revised installer will do the trick.
When you complete it and this installer is available, where will the download link be for it?

Re: SP 2 Interior lights Problem
I found the link to the updated SP2 installer--everything works fine now! I have cockpit and overhead illumination and the EDM gauges work as they're designed to do. Thanks Bill for your help!
