Not able to get GTN/GNS to work

I am having trouble getting the F1 GTN and GNS working on the Redux. Worked fine on the previous version, and works fine in other aircraft.
Things I have checked so far:
-MVAMS running as admin, tried combinations of 750, 650 and 430 with no luck.
-Prepar3D v4.2 running as admin.
-F1 tools running as admin finds the aircraft and enables configuration, but still does not show up in the VC.
Am I missing something else I should have done?
I have also tried to remove both the old version and the Redux and reinstalled the Redux alone with no luck.

I just installed both the GTN and GNS "Complete" versions into P3Dv4.2... I get a popup saying that my version isn't supported yet. Even after running the Update tool for both I'm dead in the water myself.

@N4GIX the updater tool doesn't work. You have to redownload from the website.
@Ths please check the folder permissions for the panel folder.

Jonathan, any particular permissions that might be set wrong by the installer? As far as I can see the panel folder in MV_C310R has the same permissions as other aircraft where the F1's work.

Did you use the MVAMS to put the units in place?

The reason I ask is because the AMS works by copying panel configurations from a folder in the panel folder to the main panel folder and renaming them. If you change configurations, does the panel.cfg date/time stamp change?

Thanks for the replies guys!
Yes, as I said in the first post I have tried different combinations of GTN and GNS using AMS running as admin.
I understood that Jonathan, just wondering if there is any particular setting in permissions I should look for other then what is normal on other aircraft.
I will try to reinstall the GPS one more time and see if that changes anything. A bit stumped on what it could be at this point since everything seems to be correct but the setting in AMS is not taking. At first I thought it might be related to the other AMS issue with Default/Cold and dark, but I see my problem is not universal, so I will keep plodding along and try different things.

Please tell me if the time/date stamp on the panel.cfg changes when you make a change in the AMS.
