Little buglist from Russian reviewer
Hello, guys!
Maybe some "bugs" already discussed, but I'd like to send all I found in one message:
1. Changing avionics. Sometimes after changing GPS set (i have both GNS & GTN by F1) and press "Save..." after I start utility again, i see that no changes applied;
2. "Dark and cold" option isn't working. Even if "on" plane loading with all systems on;
3. Fuel. If I change a fuel via default loader and change % then fuel weight show as "0";
4. Fuel #2. If I change fuel onboard then I can see changes only for a few seconds after that fuel returns to "Full";
5. GTN Retrofit. "Home" button working from VC only time to time, but no problem in the pop-up. Also, retrofit looks not so good, something wrong with fonts;
6. GNS Retrofit. Not operational from VC, only in the pop-up window;
7. TrueGlass. Need to be installed separately. Not good for many users, who don't know folder structure of P3D
8. No "Start menu" items. Guys, config utility, and manuals need to be on the menu because the opening model folder everytime is annoying;
9. Nav Lights. I'm not sure, but if compare with the whole model they look... bad. I mean not beautiful as all the rest elements;
10. Radar. Sometimes work, sometimes no... Magic)))
11. The font on autopilot panel. On some lights conditions it's almost impossible to read letters on buttons;
12. Tooltips for analog gauges. Please, add tooltips, because not everybody can use 4096*4096 resolution and if use lower than no chance to read HSI and many other gauges
P.S. Maybe hide NavStax option in utility until they release their radio stack?
P.P.S. Anyway, I like this bird. Be happy to help you to improve it.

Hi!
based on item no. 7, were you able to install trueglass and reallight manually? if so, is it easy and where can I find the steps?

RealLight installed as well. To install TrueGlas go to <FS_Root>\Simobjects\MV_310R\ and you will see "exe-file" with installer.snapshot21 wrote:Hi!

We will look at this but... are you SURE you're running your sim with ADMIN on every time?
2. "Dark and cold" option isn't working. Even if "on" plane loading with all systems on;
Fixed in SP
3. Fuel. If I change a fuel via default loader and change % then fuel weight show as "0";
This is as is should be.
4. Fuel #2. If I change fuel onboard then I can see changes only for a few seconds after that fuel returns to "Full";
Strange. We will look at this but...
5. GTN Retrofit. "Home" button working from VC only time to time, but no problem in the pop-up. Also, retrofit looks not so good, something wrong with fonts;
If it works once... No changes will be made to the models.
6. GNS Retrofit. Not operational from VC, only in the pop-u window;
strange. No one else has reported this issue. Will check. Which GNS?
7. TrueGlass. Need to be installed separately. Not good for many users, who don't know folder structure of P3D
Fixed in SP
8. No "Start menu" items. Guys, config utility, and manuals need to be on the menu because the opening model folder everytime is annoying;

9. Nav Lights. I'm not sure, but if compare with the whole model they look... bad. I mean not beautiful as all the rest elements;
Sorry you don't like them
10. Radar. Sometimes work, sometimes no... Magic)))
If it works once...
11. The font on autopilot panel. On some lights conditions it's almost impossible to read letters on buttons;
This is due to the way FSX/P3D works and isn't something we can do something about
12. Tooltips for analog gauges. Please, add tooltips, because not everybody can use 4096*4096 resolution and if use lower than no chance to read HSI and many other gauges
No more changes on this. We do not use 4096x4096 for our products. All at 2048x2048
P.S. Maybe hide NavStax option in utility until they release their radio stack?
nope
P.P.S. Anyway, I like this bird. Be happy to help you to improve it.
Thanks!

1: It is not just the sim. Please make sure the AMS is also set to run as admin.

At the time of release, F1 had not sent me the F1 GNS SDK. In fact I just received it yesterday morning...AlexZander_D wrote: 6. GNS Retrofit. Not operational from VC, only in the pop-up window;
Rather than delay the entire project, we decided to release it despite not having the F1 GNS option 100% functional.
I am working now on a Service Pack release to take care of all the issues that have come to light since release, so will be enabling the F1 GNS 3D functions as well.

Regarding 8: The location of documentation across different add-ons is so varied that I would not depend on the start menu entries myself. What I use is a folder where I add either shortcuts to the document locations or create subfolders and extract/copy manuals into it.
Regarding 13: See minor issues (license, thumbnail, panel.cfg, MVAMS, wheels) for some info about that. (I have this with EZdok Camera 2 and with standard FSX views). But I guess N4GIX's answer there seems fitting

@Krazycolin
Wow! No need to be so aggressive, sir!
As a reviewer, I saw many products for FS9/FSX/P3D and if I send something to team it's just my experience with the community. I just help development teams to improve products, because I show what users want and asking. And here, on this topic, I just want to help you to improve C310R. Nothing more.
I know about problems with initial releases, you're not the first team to whom I send improvement ideas.
But if you don't need it. No problem! I will never disturb you again. In my review, i take a point on some problems, but said: "It's just a first release and I'm sure MilViz will fix it in few days or weeks".
You are the first team who answer to me so aggressive, but hope it's just because it was a bad day for you.

Loyal to your team and your products.

All of the user manuals are contained in the aircraft's ..\Manuals folder.ThomasAH wrote:Regarding 8: The location of documentation across different add-ons is so varied that I would not depend on the start menu entries myself. I could easily generate a Link for the Desktop, but frankly I'm not a fan of products who clutter up my Desktop with Icons pointing to simple text or PDF files...

Re: Little buglist from Russian reviewer
Let me explain what I mean. Your products it's no Level-D, most of your products are the best offer for users who tired from default aircraft, but not ready for FSLabs. That kind of users needs to know where are manuals, utils and etc. I don't like PDF's on the desktop too (like in Flight1 GTN/GNS), but add a new item in "Start menu" it's really good.N4GIX wrote:All of the user manuals are contained in the aircraft's ..\Manuals folder.ThomasAH wrote:Regarding 8: The location of documentation across different add-ons is so varied that I would not depend on the start menu entries myself. Try to understand my position, many years ago, when i "start my FS career" and until i "retired" in 2009 I saw my mission as an adviser for developers. I'm not a player (virtual pilot), I want to help people who can't fly IRL find satisfaction in virtual skies. That's why I when I return in 2017 I again try to cooperate with developers, working as freelancer support and when I see something like, "Thanks, Alexander, now everything is working as well" this makes me happy. When I making reviews for new products and this helps developers to increase sales it makes me happy too!

Thank you for your... consideration.
However, some, if not all of our products are WAY better than you're thinking... Have you tried the F-4? How about the T-38A ADV?
I think, however, that we will stick with our present methodology which, I will say, has been doing fine for us these past 8 years.
I do not mind having you give us suggestions but, if we refuse, for whatever reason, to do them, it's best to let it lie. Don't you agree?
Thanks again.

That's great to see that we understand each other! Really! I know that your products are awesome, I sent a message to your team and ask about press-copy DHC-2 or DHC-3 via contact form on the website.Krazycolin wrote:Thank you for your... consideration.

No answer yet. But you're boss here, I'm just one of the reviewers who even doesn't make videos (but thinking about it now).
If you ready to provide press-copy of "Phantom" I'll be happy to write about this model, because the real plane is a legend not only in the USA but in Russia too.
I tell you more, currently, i need to make a review for Carenado's Fokker 50 and Flight1 GTN Complete and I think about F-4 as my next target. Because many users missing "military ops" in P3D, but I'm sure it's can be fun.

One more issue: after uninstalling C310R "Milviz MVAMS" still on the desktop and working. No uninstall option in "Add/Remove programs" in Control Panel.

You can remove it by deleting the shortcut and then going to User\Appdata\Local\ and deleting the MVAMS folder. Not recommended however because multiple Milviz addons use this application as a central hub for configurations. Like the PMDG Operations center.
