310R Redfux Engine noise
The engine noise is much louder than the original model. Is that normal?
I know I can turn the volume down, but the engine noise is so loud that I cannot hear the flaps or the landing gear no matter where I set the computer volume.
Is there anything I can do?

You may go in and lower the sounds by using a sound wav editor.
Feel free to check out videos on this aircraft to find out just how loud the engines are.

Was the sound of the engine increased in relationship to the flaps and landing gear motors to be more realistic in Redux compared to the original? If it is okay, I will have to learn to live with it. I was used to the sounds the original made and made many of adjustments by sound.

We have redone the sounds to better match the real world experience... Perhaps, for some, this is too "loud"....
I will consider an optional sound set for those who like to hear the other stuff... No promises.

Just as a sanity check, could you please check your sound sliders in the simulator sound options? The sound set was developed using the default settings (all sliders at 50%). By the looks of it, maybe your engine sound slider is turned up all the way to 100% which in effect drowns out the other sounds

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks. My was set to about 85% That worked great on the original C310R. Moving to 50% helped a lot.

Re: 310R Redfux Engine noise
I think the problem is elsewhere.
Coming in to land.
1000 ft AGL level
Air speed 115, Props and mixture full forward, throttle midrange.
MP = 13
Fuel flow = 50#
RPM =27 (red line)
Why are my engines running so fast?

Constant speed props. What's the MP reading?

Re: 310R Redfux Engine noise
As I stated in my previous post the manifold pressure was 13. The high RPM may be correct, but it is a lot different than the original 310R, or the 182 I flew in FSX 2000.
Another sound issue: I get a stall warning, but nothing when I shut off the auto pilot or if I presurize the door seal.

The original 310 was a different sound designer. If we had met Mike before....
