installing 310R Redux
I downloaded the 310R Redux.
When I load it in FSX, I do not get a complete instrutment panel. No avionics and several gauges are missing.

Are you in the VC? There is no 2d panel at all.

That is strange. If I select cockpit it does show a 2D instrument panel that looks okay. When I select vertual cockpit, the avionics and some gauges afain disapear. This is also how it looks when I first start.

Which panel layout did you select in MVAMS? I suggest starting with "Default" or "Default WX" and continue from there.
Which GPU (graphics card, not ground power unit
) do you have?

Then you aren't loading the 310R Redux, but rather the original C310R which does have a 2d panel...70Nlights wrote:That is strange. I can promise you that there is no 2d instrument panel in the Redux...

Even stranger!
When I purchased the Redux, I thought that I would have two 310R, but the selection page of FSX only shows one, and it is the same as before. Is it possible that the install of the Redux screwed up the original and did not install the new one? I tried a couple of different layout, starting with the default. The NVMAS did get updated because there are more selections than before.

Absolutely not. The aircraft folder names are entirely different, so both the original and the redux can remain available to fly. The titles in the aircraft.cfg file are also unique so the sim won't get confused.70Nlights wrote:Even stranger!

The C310R Redux is put in this folder:
..\MV_C310R

Re: installing 310R Redux
Thanks,
Okay. I found the directory, and I redownloaded the files.
How do I get FSX to locate the new airplane, or how do I recognize it? The old one still shows up?
Another issues: I suspect that the download changed the files in the MVANS directory and they are not compatible with the old 310R. How do I fix that?

Re: installing 310R Redux
I got it. When I check “display all variant” in FSX, I get 11 310Rs. The last one, and probably more, is the Redux. I still have a problem with some of the avionics, but I will try to figure it out on my own. Only the 530 and 430 appear to be functional, no auto pilot, ADF, etc.
My main problem right now is how do I fix my original 310R. I don’t get any avionics and some instruments are missing. I believe the problem is in MVAMS.

Re: installing 310R Redux
When I installed the Redux, it removed the original, and replaced it in the MVAMS.
The folder names are the same for both, after the latest update for the original. 180301.
I will try renaming the Redux folder, then install the original again. I want the Songbird versions.

The folder names are absolutely not the same. The title= entries are also different to prevent clashes.modelrdh wrote:When I installed the Redux, it removed the original, and replaced it in the MVAMS.

Original is
..\Cessna 310R Milviz
title=Cessna310_N5077J
Redux is
..\MV_C310R
title=Cessna 310R N5077J
Jon will have to address the MVAMS part of your question.

Re: installing 310R Redux
Looks like I made a bit of a mistake with naming the AMS module the same. I will get a different named version up. If you wish your original AMS entry to return you will need to reinstall the old C310 though.
