MV_WX.dll incompatible with this simulator [RESOLVED]

Today I purchased the 310 Redux. I was having trouble with the previous version when selecting the WX variant. In that version the addition of the WX Advantage Radar panel interfered with some of the buttons on the GNS. So I thought I would purchase the new version and see if the WX radar would work integrated in the instrument panel. On loading the aircraft I was very surprised to see the message "MV_WX.dll incompatible with this simulator". I am running FSX steam edition. I have tried removing and reinstalling the aircraft but I am not able to get the WX Advantage Radar to work in this new version.

I did some troubleshooting. Since I have the WX Advantage Radar installed, I found the MV_WX.dll file under the C:\WX Advantage Radar\files\FSXSE folder. I renamed the file what was installed by the 310 Redux installer to MV_WX.dllorig and copied the MV_WX.dll file from the WX Advantage Radar folder into the panel folder for the 310 Redux. When I started FSX steam it asked me to trust the replaced file and FSX Steam started and loaded the aircraft with no errors and the WX radar works now. Looking at the two files (see attachment) they seem to be the same size so I don't know why the original file is not compatible with my FSX Steam.

I forgot to mention the version which I purchased this morning from the MILVIZ website is: MV_310R_Redux_v3.180308.exe

Your answer is ambiguous. I bought the weather radar of MV for version 4 and it works in my devices. To my surprise this AM, during a flight he worked in the C-310R Redux. Be clearer in your assertions, who does what at home etc ... I paid the C-310R Redux, MV radar and I am entitled that the whole works. Probably the current version of the C-310R is buggy already in the sounds of the engine etc .... I wait for your answer. Regards Roger

The C310 itself will work in previous versions of v4. But the WX absolutely requires v4.2.

My answer is as follows: first off, the product wasn’t ready when it was accidentally released. Second, other than the WX issue, the product should be fine. The sounds are brand new and work fine. Third, not sure how my answer could’ve been less ambiguous. Finally, though you are free to do as you with (while staying within the EULa) we do not have to provide you with support should you decide not to update to the latest version of sim.

I'm not sure how to reply. When I received the email offer for the 310 Redux and went to purchase it from the MILVIZ website, the "coming soon" just didn't register and I ordered it. I just took MILVIZ up on their offer for some money off. So how do I know when an update has been released? Should I just wait until the aircraft is released as I only have 9 more downloads left?

I just received the release email and used the link I received in my purchase email to download version 180313. I uninstalled the previous version and then installed version 180313 and I still get the error that the MV_WX.dll file is incompatible with this version (FSX Steam) of flight simulator. I don't know if this has anything to do with me getting this issue but my installation path for FSX steam edition is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX.

Did you try what I suggested in my post above? Also please confirm if there is a MV_WX.dll in your gauges folder.

Yes I have an MV_WX.dll file in my gauges folder. I assume that is because I have WX Advantage Radar installed. I have attached a rar file that contains the MV_WX.dll file that was installed and the one from my gauges folder. I replaced the MV-WX dll file in my panel folder with the one from your post above and the error goes away.

I checked the properties details folder on the file I received from you above with the file that was installed. The one I got from you is 1.12.0.40 and this works. The one installed is version 1.11.0.40.
