I searched the forum for KAP 140 before posting this.

In the autopilot for the default planes, pressing 'z' turns on the autopilot. I tried to do that in the C310 Redux and even holding down the 'z' key for a few seconds, but the KAP-140 still won't turn on.. I even re-installed C310.

It's difficult to use the mouse to turn it on, when you're right handed and the hand is busy at the joystick manipulating the throttles, flaps, and gears.

I'm using Windows FSX Steam. Please advise.

I should add that, it works fine in P3Dv4, but not in FSX Steam.

There's absolutely no difference handling the KAP140 either in P3D or FSX Steam.
In case of Steam I would suggest that you check "Z" key Repeat checkbox is On.

I can not locate the 'repeat' key? Where do I find it?

Notice that there is a REPEAT column on the right.
Edit the Z Key assignment to enable the Repeat option

The Repeat functionality is not available when using the key assignment (z).

The repeat slidebar functionality under the repeat column only shows up if the Autopilot master switch is assigned to a joystick button which I did. I then slid the slidebar button all the way to the right. Afterwhich, I tested it in the KAP 140. The autopilot still does not respond or turn on when I press the joystick button assigned to it. Please try it on FSX Steam. Thank you.
