for Taguilo--an additional request re the KAP140

Just to repeat Frank's earlier request for a louder altitude alert signal--is it possible to increase the volume for this alert? It's barely audible over the in-cockpit engine and wind noise, etc.

Thanks again for all your efforts.

Sorry Stew. Looks like no-go here. The autopilot altitude alert for the B55 Baron is much better but I have not been able to identify or isolate the responsible file. The current Redux autopilot altitude alert file appears to be SND24.WAV, located in the ...\panel\C310R_sounds folder.

Yes, I agree, Frank. The wave file seems to be SND24.WAV. I tried to find A2A's C182 altitude alert signal, but came up empty. But the alert is the same series of beeps, but louder; but just can't find the wav file.

Stew,
Send me a private mail here or on Avsim and provide a good email address and I will send you a new file. I located a program named Audacity and used it to amplify the sound level.

Thanks for the feedback, Stew. Glad the amplified file was that much improved. As I mentioned via email, I have watched a series of youtube videos over the past few days of Cessna 414 flights where the AP Alt alert was more than evident. So at the least we got closer if not very close. Enjoy!

Frank, Just to confirm: Did a short flight last night from Monterey to Bakersfield to hear how well the alert registers over the engine and cockpit noise and it was just fine--no problem now hearing the alert over the noise.

Stew,
Just this morning completed my first flight after the mod and am very pleased with the result as you said in an in-flight sound environment. Due to weather I had to change cruise altitude twice, which increased the exposure. :D Glad it worked for you as well.

Regards,
Frank
