Erratic Takeoff Problem
Problem with takeoffs.
Scenario #1: 300lbs fuel, pilot and co-pilot 165lbs each
Scenario #2: Same weight, plus 500lbs (125lbs x 4 passenger) = 4630 grosss weight
Scenario #3: Same weight, plus 750lbs (150lbs x 4 passenger, 150lbs aft baggage) = 4880 gross weight
Scenario #1: Takeoff
Normal, can not re-create problem.
Scenario #2: Takeoff erratic (plane goes straight up or lurches to side)
Pause sim, set plane 5,000 above runway, and recovery is possible. From there on out, flight is normal
Scenario #3: Takeoff wildly erratic! (plane goes straight up or lurches to side)
Recovery is not possible.
To me, it seems like the plane is registering as "stressed", ergo, the stall horn, but I am below the max gross weight.
Suggestions?

Re: Erratic Takeoff Problem
Probably someone with more knowledge than me will answer, but I will go with CG. Try moving the baggage to the engine lockers.

Re: Erratic Takeoff Problem
The max gross weight on the aircraft is 5524 lbs so that is not the issue. As Raptor said you could be out of the aft cg limit. This could cause a uncontrollable pitch up, stall and wing drop. I would first check your take off trim setting. Setting too much nose up trim would also create the issues you mention. You may need to empty the rear seats or put weight in the nose bay station #6; which has a 350 lbs max.

Re: Erratic Takeoff Problem
Elevator trim was set to zero in all scenarios, so that wasn't it.
I tried the forward weight distribution (rather than evenly distributed weight), ie.,
Scenario #4:
350lbs fwd bag
150lbs tnkL 150lbs tnkR
165lbs pilot 165lbs co-pilot
150lbs psg1 150lbs psg2
150lbs psg3 150lbs psg4
Gross Weight 5070
No problem with takeoff, flight, or landing. Resolved.
Thanks for the help.
