You might wish to ask this fellow user to share his solution: viewtopic.php?p=80166#p80166Ron Attwood wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 9:37 pmThat is if one had any idea on creating a lua script. We're not all codersHowever one could create Lua scripts via FSUIPC to control them.

As I understand it, you were that fellow. It looked Greek to me then and it does now. But not to worry, it's no trouble to use the mouse.

I was actually referring to Jay, the person to whom I had given the information he asked for.

Re: SP2 Interior Lights - Fantastic!
So here is a somewhat naive question. Like Ron, I am not by any means a coder. There are however so called coders within our communities in this activity. Within the community there are master painters, like Ron. There are master panel configurators and .xml activists, like Bert P. So Colin, and Bill, you did not use standard simulator commands for a number of functions. Not finding fault with that because it appears to have resulted in a great product. Innovative in some respects. Question: How can a master Lua coder in the community proceed to provide custom code for us if there are not privy to the non-standard methods in use?
Not raging the argument here. Just gaining understanding.

In the case of the four magneto switches, there are no default commands or token variables. FSX/P3D provides the token variables and commands for a standard "key type switch" only. Anything else - such as the arrangement in the C310 - has to be custom coded.
In the case of the landing lights, the default LL commands are used, but provision for extending the lights from the wings must be done first. There is no provision in FSX/P3D for such an event.
As for other coders/scripters all that's required is that they ask - as Jay did - and the information will be provided.

Okay, I was feeling a bit down this morning so I figured out a simple way for you folks to control the landing lights using the Wing Fold event via FSUIPC. Simply unzip this modified "Logic" gauge into the ..\panel\C310_XMLGauges folder:
Assign your hardware button or lever to the TOGGLE_WING_FOLD event and you will be able to control the landing lights.-
