Re: AP GPS coupling problems
Just started a test flight with the default GPS and that is working fine.
Strange thing is that the GTN 750 and 650 won't follow the GPS course and when the problem should be on our side which is alway's a possibility how do you explain the fact that on al the other planes I use with the GTN works fine?
Could it not be that there is a bug in the GTN integration, just asking so not pointing fingers here from mine side.
Cheers,
Ruud

Re: AP GPS coupling problems
It could be and we are looking into it... BUT... given that the buttons on the GTN unit appear to be working... and the AP is working elsewhere...

Look in the MV_C310R root folder and note the F1GTN.ini file. This is preconfigured to make the GTN750.1 to use COM1/NAV1, and control the Autopilot on my system.ruudmeij wrote:Just started a test flight with the default GPS and that is working fine.

I cannot possibly pre-configure the F1GTN.ini for everyone's own preferences, but tried to accommodate the most likely. You may need to make adjustments to suit your system and preferences.

Re: AP GPS coupling problems
Hi guys,
I think that the problem is solved, after the remark from Bill about the F1GTN.ini I opened it up and did see that in the GTN 750 section from the ini file the option Radios=0 was activated so I did change that in Radios=1 and now it's following the GPS like it should.
The combination from GTN 750 and 650 together defaults to the GTN 650 I think so if you like me I think that the majority of people will activate there GPS Flightplan on the GTN 750 unit because of the bigger screen and the more convenient way for the data input.
Thank you Milviz for developing this mighty fine REDUX version.
Cheers,
Ruud

Re: AP GPS coupling problems
Has anyone had success in P3D with the RXP 530. In my case, I'm not using the default .ini included with the 310's 430/530 config - I'm using one I configured for another plane which has the 430/530 pair, with the 530 as primary and set to drive the AP (in RXP's .ini the paramenter is "LinkOto = true"). GPS course displays just fine on the HSI and the AP works in NAV mode with the GPS set to VLOC with a VOR tuned, but there appears to be no guidance when I try to use GPS.

I'm closing in on getting the Service Pack completed. I've edited the F1GTN.ini correctly and tested thoroughly in P3Dv4.2...ruudmeij wrote:Hi guys,

Now to get RXP GNS530/430 sussed out.

Re: AP GPS coupling problems
As noted on Avsim - greatly appreciate your efforts. As a long-time RXP user I think I'm pretty savvy when it comes to RXP's config file, but I'm obviously missing something.N4GIX wrote:I'm closing in on getting the Service Pack completed. Re: AP GPS coupling problems
Tested in the SP and both F1 GTN and RXP GNS working fine (together with AP) out of the box.
Thanks again and Cheers
