Possible corrupt file in Paint kit?
Attached is an image of the 310R after creating a texture for it. The top section of the left tip tank - ext-15 - has an anomaly. I redownloaded the kit and ran just that file thru photoshop doing nothing but creating a black layer between dirt & details. Came out the same.
Is it something I've missed or is the something wrong with that specific file? All the other files seem fine.
Thanx,
Vic

Thanx Colin.
I don't know enough to tell on my own. Quite a learning process trying to figure out where I have to paint. You've done a helluva job on that bird. Right after I got my multi engine rating way back in 1965 I was lucky enough to spend some good time in the 310. Became my favorite aircraft and you've certainly done it justice.

My bad - I must have misunderstood SOMETHING but I somehow got the file images flipped the wrong way. I was flipping them vertical - working on them and flipping them back. I SHOULD have rotated it 180 rather than flip.
Sorry for the trouble.

Vic, if you are working in Photoshop with the nVidea DDS plugin, when you save a file to .dds format, the plugin will automatically flip the image vertically for you.

Thanx Bill - now it makes a bit of sense. Didn't see that in the Nvidia docs but really quick scanned them. As I said, in this arena I am a complete novice and learning by trial and error.
Back to learning........

Also, if you should happen to load a .dds file into Photoshop, the nVidea plugin will auto-flip the texture for you.
