Re: Beaver xmltools
Thank you for running through our support Q&A. Did you try the advice relating to XMLTools?
Please make sure you have the XMLtools for the sim version you are running enabled during install .
XMLTools.dll will be in the main fs or p3d folder and there should be an entry in DLL.xml found in \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
It should read as follows:
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>XMLTools</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>XMLTools.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
If not, run the XMLtools installer inside the DH2C aircraft folder for the sim in question (xmltools_201 installer.exe is for FSX).
Go to your user's AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v{version number} or AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ folder and check whether DLL.XML is present or not.
If it is not, and you have other users defined in your machine, go to each one's AppData\Roaming folder and check that DLL.XML is present in either Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v, or Microsoft\FSX\ (depending on platform).

Re: Beaver xmltools
I ran though all advises I found in this forum.
In the install I selcted prepar3d v4 -> no xmltools installed
After that started XMLTools64Installer.exe manually, presuming it is the right one for p3d v4 -> nothing happens
Same things started as admin with UAC down and AV off -> same result
The funny thing is I had the beaver running on my old PC also under Win10 and p3dv4 without missing any function!
There I find xmltools64.dll in the p3d main folder but no entry in the DLL.XML
That's absolutly strange.

Re: Beaver xmltools
I'm stiil working on the xmltools issue for me beaver.
I have the following questions:
- What XMLtools installer is the right one for the Beaver to run under P3d v4?
- What distributables exactly do I need to run the installer?
- Is there anything else I have to remind starting the xmltools installer manually?
any advice is welcome

Re: Beaver xmltools
XMLTools64Installer.exe should have been run automatically by the installer. Look for it in the ..\panel folder and run as administrator.

Re: Beaver xmltools
Finally I copied the XMLtools64 manually and changed the DLL.XML by hand.
Now the beaver is functioning fine.
What is an installer good for if it does not Install?
