Outside temperature gauge problem...

Post by Richard Portier » Thu Oct 05, 2017 5:36 pm

Just bought, installed the Beaver to P3D4. Great addon, thank you !

The outside temperature gauge seems don't work for me. It is always around +-16°C regardless of the outdoor temperature... I was at KMWH, the oudoor temp was 4°C.

AS for P3Dv4 with live real time mode checked.

I don't know if this "glitch" is from my side, Asn or the Beaver...?

Thanks and Regards,

Thank you Chuck.

Edit : The problem seems more subtle than what I described in the first place.
I did several tests by injecting different temperatures into the sim via As.
It shows that when the temperature is around and above 20c, the gauge is fairly accurate.
On the other hand, if the outside temperature falls below 20c, the gauge deviation/error increase.
Ex: 0c ambient temperature = + 7c outside gauge reading
-30c ambient temperature = -12c outside gauge reading
...and so...

Hi,
I experience the same behavior with the beaver temp gauge.
Outside temp of -22C is reistered on the gauge as -4C
So I forgot the cold cover :D

I just treat the temperature gauge as eye-candy. It serves no purpose as it never reflects the outside temperature at all.
