Beaver giving me a headache #2

Hello again, Tried finding the post I submitted yesterday to add additional info. Could not find where it had been moved to, so I'll add the info here. Yet another reinstall and should add these results as well. While running the installer, when I get to the simulator selection part, the only option given is FSX:SE (Side-by Side). I did notice that the manual showed an FSX:SE (Stand Alone Option). Then as the install completes, a box pops up for XML2.01 Installer. The top line message, in red print, "FSX not found on this machine." The next line, in black print, FSX must be installed on this machine previous to install XMLTOOLS 2.01, press cancel button to exit. That's all I have. Obviously this must be the associated problem. I have searched for XMLTOOLS and XMLTOOLS3D on my system (as well as FSX SE main folder), no trace of them, so I cannot even add the entries described in the Forum "How to fix most problems." What now?
