No panel

After downloading the update for the Beaver and uninstalling the original file and installing the update,
the files show up in simobjects-airplanes, but there is no panel folder that loaded in the install.
Without the panel folder, the beaver will not show up when you start P3Dv4.

I redownloaded the update three times with my virus protection completely shut down, but after
installing, I get the same thing.. "No panel folder" I would like to re-install the original file
for the beaver, but because it was done through e-mail, I don't have the file to install now.

I would appreciate any help to get the panel folder installed.

you do know that you MUST install this (and all MV products) into the same directory structure as the sim itself? This is likely the problem....

Hello Arnold , the results you are seeing with the install intrigue me , in theory it cant happen but is happening on your machine , a few questions are necessary to further narrow down the possibilities .

Are you running the installer's default pathways to v4 ? , using its browser function or installing to desktop and dropping into a secondary drive?

Are you installing as an admin ?

Are all DHC2 versions missing panels ?

Is this happening only in v4 ? applies if there are other sims installed .

What are you using as a computer ?

OS , CPU GPU

System specs

OS-- W7 64
CPU 6700K
GPU EVGA 1080

The update installer did not give me a default directory to install into.
I installed in the P3Dv4 directory and the files installed into simobjects/airplanes
which is the same dirctory as my PMDG files are located and they work perfectly.
My original purchase of the DH2 Beaver on 7/7/17 installed OK and worked OK.
Is the panel folder in the update.

The update installed four beavers.
Standard no panel folder
floats panel folder contains GTN panels but the cfg file refers to the standard panel which is nonexistant
skis panel folder same as floats panel
Tundra Also the same

There should be a checkbox for the sim version to install into , the installer checks the registry and if detected displays a box in the select sim window , that will automatically put all files where they go and the proper set of files per sim version , all different .

Just to be sure you did see a checkbox for P3Dv4 then ?

Problem solved!!!!!

Stupid mistake, I didn't check the circle in P3Dv4 st the beginning of the installer.

Everything works now.
