No cockpit sound in VC + plenty other problems

Post by Bushido » Fri Jun 16, 2017 10:56 am

So I download and install version 1.1.0.14 of the beaver.
Turn off the antivirus as suggested, the install went well I have a positive message at the end that the XML.dll has been correctly installed.

If I run the beaver with no radio stack I have sound in the cockpit for the various flip, the fuel primer and the ignition of the motor.
If I run the beaver with the Milviz 530/430 selected I have no such sound.

In all case I have no water sound
In all case the cabin light and map light work even though the battery is sett to off => It shouldn't be
I select the cold and dark state but the radio flip, the beacon flip and the nav light flip are on the "on position" => it shouldn't be if cold and dark

Please Specify what simulator is being run as well 32/64 bit filesets are quite different and tracing issues is more readily done with all the clues.

Thanks for your patience Bushido your install has been a special case , we hope to figure out what is different .

Tracked the issue down to P3D , attached is the fix , this goes in the MV530_430 panel folder in P3D exclusively .

There is an issue with the sound gauge path in MV530/430. EDIT: Already solved, see former post from Chuck

It is being investigated. If it is an issue will be solved for the next SP

Cabin light turns on even with battery off - like in real. It is working as expected
Map light does not, and it works as expected. Only that turning cabin lights on/off may have some delay in the response making map light appear as being on.

Improved startup scenarios for v4 version. Available for the next SP

I try the file posted by Chuck and indeed it works I now have the sound even with the MV 530/430 GPS, thanks.

Read and understood for the other issues, I will wait for the next SP.

I'm surprised the cabin light and map light can work even with Battery off, for my own education how these lights are powered in this case ?

By the Hot Battery Bus. Connects directly to the battery.

Probably just like a car.
Not all power sources are disconnected unless the battery is physically disconnected from the vehicle.
Imagine trying to find the battery switch in total darkness.
Here is an interesting article on the subject.
