Prop control level not working visually in VC after V2
When using a Saitek Throttle Quadrant the prop lever does not move when viewed internally (F9 VC view).
The throttle and mixture levers move and work fine.
I'm aware that Milviz doesn't support hardware, but I don't think this is a hardware issue because the prop lever does move visually when viewed externally (Spot view).
When viewed externally it keeps flicking back to course when selecting fine and (in the amphibian only) the amp meter flicks full range.
It worked perfectly in all previous Beaver versions and it works fine with all other aircraft including the default Beaver.

Re: Prop control level not working visually in VC after V2
While I appreciate the updates released thus far, I am sticking with version 70528 because of the prop lever issue. Yes, I can map it to Engine 1 (which works fine) but that just means I have to change it back when flying multi-engine aircraft. Fortunately, 70528 seems to work well for me. Still a nice addition to the hanger.

It was changed to prop in this I believe , went to the normal hardware mapping name .

I don't believe so. I downloaded the latest update and the prop lever (default settings) is not affected by my external controller. But I didn't uninstall my existing version first if that makes a difference. I'll give that a try after work.Chuck Jodry wrote:It was changed to prop in this I believe , went to the normal hardware mapping name .

Mine requires Prop1. Latest update and after uninstalling previous version first.

Here's what I discovered...
Installing 1.1.0.14 (link provided yesterday by Colin) does not allow the prop lever to be used by an external controller without assigning it to Engine 1.
However, when I used the Milviz MVAMS and asked if I wanted to upgrade to a newer version (30 min ago), that gave me 1.1.0.15 and DOES allow external prop lever to be used with default mappings.
Sweet. Thanks Milviz.

Must be for P3D only. My FSXA install only allows Prop1.

I'm using FSXA too.
Are you sure you are using version 1.1.0.15 ?

Okay. I am going to work on this. I am using the installer provided for installation.

Installed 1.1.0.15 four times using every method possible. No default prop control and no water sounds, either.

Does prop 1 work?
The sound issue is likely caused by windows and not by us. Did you try the tech trick I posted?

Yes. Prop1 does work. It forces me to use a different controller because my expensive throttle quadrant has its own proprietary drivers that don't allow you to reassign axes. The latest build is very nice in all other respects. I am looking forward to the addon floats only version.

Just to pipe in.....
Since the latest update my pitch control lever works fine (CH Eclipse Yoke) in the VC view, but the blades no longer move/change pitch visually...!?
Cheers,
Tim.

Tim:
In real life, prop pitch change only works if the engine is running and the propeller is spinning. If the engine is not running there is no hydraulic pressure to make the blades change pitch. A lot of FSX airplanes have propeller blades that move with the pitch lever when the engine is not running but this is not realistic.
