Hi All
Problem with Beaver Radar in P3Dv3.4 and FSX
I had slight problems loading this plane but all good now and flying well
Just one bug -Radar lights up and shows activity but no "live" scan
I also get the message MV_WX.dll incompatible with this simulator in P3Dv3.4 and FSX
I have a parallel C310 setup running in both sims -all systems good including radar
Some slight corruption on install
Anything I could try-so nearly there!

the incompatible error is a bug but changes nothing.

If the radar is lighting up and you see weather, then it's working as it should

I was not clear in my post
The Radar in the Beaver does everything right except actually "see" the weather
I compared the Radar in C 310 and Beaver in the same rainy weather (Orbyx 5).Cessna sees the rain storm -Beaver does not
Only other problem is this message of an incompatible dll on loading the Beaver into the sim

What is the version number of your weather dll? It is located in your main sim directory.

Looked in P3Dv3.4 DHC-2 Beaver Milviz panel
MV_WX.dll is File Version 1.33.0.38

No not the MV_WX dll. It is the weather dll I was looking for which is a P3D file in the same place as your P3D exe (root sim directory). But that is moot. I see you have the wrong MV_WX.dll in your panel folder for P3D v3.4. It should be 1.34.0.38.

Unzip this into your Beaver panel folder:

Thanks so much -that did the buisness for my P3Dv3.4 Beaver..All good!
Could I ask for the equivalent file for my FSX model-that new file made no difference to it.
Is the file you gave me a P3Dv3 file only?

I also had MV_WX.dll file version 1.33.0.38.
Your updated file fixed my problem too.

Just FYI, I purchased and downloaded the Beaver directly from Milviz on 29 May 2017 and had the outdated file.

Yes. If you right click on the dll, go to properties->details, the file description will tell you which sim the dll is for. FSX SP2, Acceleration, SE, P3D v2.5.12946, P3D v3.2, P3D v3.3, P3D v3.4.

Regarding your FSX model, which version of FSX are you running? Accel, SE, or SP2?

I also need to join this discussion as I am faced with the same incompatibility message. However, having FSX-SE, the file from the above given download link does not solve the problem, as it might not be the correct one for FSX-SE. Do you possibly have the correct version of MV_WX dll available?
