Engine sounds.
I've waited till the initial s**tstorm has died down before bringing this up. First, I've kept a sharp lookout for posts on the same trouble but found no mention of it. I can only conclude there is something in my set-up that's the problem
Namely; Engine start-up sound is VERY loud followed by engine running quite subdued, finally engine shut down which is VERY loud. There is also a slight pause between each sound set. The overall impression is that none of the sounds relate to each other.
I've listened to the sound files in Windows and they sound just right. A config issue maybe?

Re: Engine sounds.
For me they have very good blending and balanced volume. Maybe not a general issue?

Re: Engine sounds.
Since the latest patch/update, progress..of sorts. The start up and shut down sounds have now disappeared(can sounds disappear?
) altogether. Hit the starter, the props turn nicely albeit quietly, the engine catches and the 'running' sounds run. Shut the engine down and it does so in virtual silence.
From one extreme to the other.

Hi Ron , what were you in at the time P3D or FSX , Base version or another ? ? and were you using Cold & Dark , or Running State restarting a warmed engine ?
Can further determine what's causing the problem for you with this info .
Thanks CJ

Yo Chuck. P3DV4. C&D. Base version(wheeled) by another, do you mean floats or skis? Restarting engine is another issue. But not for now, it's not important

Yes Chuck, I do have the bog standard 530/430 running. I'll check it out.

EDIT: Chuck, that panel cfg is word for word the same as I have. No change. Perhaps Colin is right, I should throw my manky old Sennheiser Game Zeros out. They're getting on for 5 months old now.

Oops! I did a reboot and got the sounds back. It must have been one dot out of place, 'cause I couldn't see a difference. Just painting the spinner left to sort out.
