GTN 750 Will Not Power Up

Milviz,

I use the GTN 759 with the Milviz Bobcat and now the DHC-2 Beaver. Works fine with the Bobcat. However, it will not power up with the Beaver. Replaced it with your default GPS and that powers up fine when I throw the radio switch. Go back to the GTN 750 and nothing happens when I throw the radio switch. Black screen. Checked the configuration files in the panel folder and they are the same.

Also a suggestion. Need a pop-up panel for the autopilot. Even with Track IR it almost impossible to use.

Some additional information. The problem with the GTN 750 occurs when you select any starting condition other than Cold & Dark. Experimenting I found that the GTN 750 does power up if you start from Cold & Dark. However, if you select Ready to Fly, the GTN 750 stays dark and will not power up. Same if you choose Ready to Start. Running P3Dv3.4.

We're not doing a popup for anything.

We might do a new camera though...

Camera would be tough since the autopilot is behind the control column. You'd have to be about six inches away. If there some "philosophical" issue with popups? The GTN 750 popup works well. I like all my Milviz products, however, lack of popups on the F-4J/S for the radio and tacan make them hard to use. F-100 and Bobcat can do without them but sometimes they are needed.

Not sure if it is still actual, anyway. do you load Beaver as first plane? For me, when I load plane with GTN and then switch to different plane with GTN, that GTN do not work as Garmin software is not starte again, but stays old. I guess that is present mostly from v3 release.

popups have to be coded separately from the rest of code effectively meaning that some stuff has to be coded twice.

The yoke can be made invisible (as per the manual) and you can use ezdoc or some other method to create a "view" of the panel in question.
