XMLTools install error P3D v34

I am getting the following error message when trying to install the XML tools:

XMLTools3D.dll successfully installed in Prepar3D's main folder !!
DLL.XML not found !!. Creating copy...
Cannot create DLL.XML - Folder not found !!
=====================================================
-Wrong User or folder corrupted. DLL.XML was not created.

Press 'Finish' button to exit

I can confirm that my dll.xml file is in the AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 folder and the xml file is properly formed.

I tried doing a manual installation of the xml tools via the main DHC2 folder and had the same issue.

Windows 7 64 bit with the latest updates and P3D v3.4.

I am experiencing the same problem. I'm also running P3D V3.4 on W10. I should note that my virus protection is disabled, my UAC is at the lowest setting and I ran the installer as an admin. Also, my version of P3D is installed on my D:\ drive (and not in the default location.....not sure if this makes a difference). Pls advise.
