Is there an FSX.exe in your task manager processes list?

Re: Instrument Lights
Same issue here.
I followed all required steps while downloading and installing. All exterior lights work as designed, no interior lights visible. Switches are on, rheostat fully right. Pressing L returns backlights fort the GTN 750, the wx radar and the AP panel while pressing. Cabin lights switch moves with it, but no other lights appear.
Using P3D V3.4, Win7 64 Bit.

Re: Instrument Lights
FSX or P3D? If the latter, please verify whether there is a FSX.exe in the task manager or not.

Re: Instrument Lights
Please right click on your Prepar3d exe and select properties->Compatibility. Verify Run this program as administrator is checked.

Re: Instrument Lights
Ok, thanks a lot that fixed it. Strange nevertheless, because I always start P3D as an Administrator (right clicking the icon), but seems to be different.

Re: Instrument Lights
Sorry. I don't have Skype.
Also don't have fsx.exe running in TM.
And I have compatibility set to run p3d.exe as administrator...but that didn't fix the problem for me.
I'm glad the fix worked for Viking01....perhaps the difference is I'm running Windows 10 not Windows 7.

Re: Instrument Lights
I appreciate your persistent efforts to help Krazycolin.
I have the Windows firewall disabled as well as windows defender (which under Win 10 turns itself back on after a period of time)....plus I have my flight sim directories / folders excluded from being scanned by windows defender.
UAC is set to never notify.
You can see why this is such a mystery to me.
I've got other Milviz products installed such as the Cessna 310....and I'm not having any issues with them.
Really weird.
Again, thanks for trying to help.

Re: Instrument Lights
Looks like there is a different problem involved then. Try leaving the light switch on for a while and see if the lights suddenly come on long after you turn on the switch (roughly 8-10 seconds). I have a sneaking suspicion of what might be happening here.

Re: Instrument Lights
thanks Jonathan.
I'll give that a try and get back to you with the results.
BTW....I am running the latest build of ChasePlane if that makes any difference.

Hi Jonathan
Gave your suggestion a try....no go.
I waited about a min (a couple of times)....still no instrument or map lights (Cabin Light worked though)
The XMLTool.dll is in the FS root folder btw.
Any other suggestions??? Thanks.
