Weather DLL incompatible

I just installed the Beaver today. During the FSX boot process, I'm getting an alert box that says "MV_WX.dll is incompatible with this simulator." I can click ok and FSX will continue with the loading. And while the Beaver will also load, the radar doesn't function.
I saw other posts about radar issues but nothing about this 'incompatible' error.
FSX Accelleration
Windows 10.

Can you post the version number of your weather dll please? Not the MV_WX.dll but the weather.dll in the main flightsim directory.

When you install the product you must also pick your specific sim for the wx. It has likely installed the one for fsxa

My weather.dll is version 10.0.61637.0
I've tried installing both FSX versions of the radar... FSXA and the Service Pack 2 version. Both have the same result.
This morning, I noticed the 'download update' was working so I did that too. No change to the weather radar though.

Did you follow all of the instructions vis a vis AV, running as admin etc?

Just to be sure, I uninstalled the Beaver to start over. Step by step thereafter...
Disable AV completely.
Run installer as Administrator
Select FSX Svc Pk 2 for weather radar
Wait for completion.
Restart FSX and I get the same error message... "MV_WX.dll is incompatible with this simulator".

Success! Radar now functional.
Many thanks Jonathan. I wasn't expecting a Sunday repair job. I'm not even on the sim today (Indy 500 day). But two-thumbs up to you and Colin for the help in finding a resolution.
Now go enjoy a Sunday.

Where should this MV_Wx.dll be installed? I'd like to see if it resolves my nonfunctioning weather radar issues.

Inside the panel directory of the Beaver. (Not the floats, skis, tundra version. They are aliased to the base model)

Thanks for the instructions, Danno. Unfortunately, the new file did not fix my issues (already in another thread), but I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm sure your issue will get resolved. After reading your post, you seem to be experiencing the same symptoms I was but obviously for a different reason.

i had this problem of message saying incompatible but weather radar was working !
in fact, i had 2 entries in my dll.xml for rex radar module. i had remove one of them to keep only one. the error message has gone (and rex radar is always working). i use the full radar product, not the one that comes with the Beaver.
Version used : Beaver v1.170528 under P3D v3.4.22 (windows 10 x64)

There are 2 issues here. Those of you who have tried installing this dll without having had the MV_WX.dll incompatible message will need to reinstall the beaver and then download the updates. The other problem has been corrected and the updater will soon have it in place.

Hmm... since installing update 1.170528 that arrived via email at 04:00z today, my 'revised' radar dll no longer works. (nor does the one that came packaged in the new update). Back to a black radar screen.
But no worry. I'm sure it will get resolved eventually. Lack of a radar does not prevent me from enjoying this model.
