Re: Instrument Lights
Was there a delay before the cabin lights came on?

Re: Instrument Lights
Nope....cabin lights came right on, but pretty much only illuminated the frames of the gps, wx radar, transponder, autopilot and adf.

Re: Instrument Lights
If the cabin light worked then you're not turning them on properly or do not have the systems on.

Re: Instrument Lights
Your cabin lights are not working.
You're going to have to follow, yet again, the instructions for making this work or, live without the lighting.

Re: Instrument Lights
Well,
I did a complete reinstall....following yet again the instructions provided by MILVIZ.
Got the same result.....the map light, cabin light and instrument lights are non-functional.
So....as you say, I guess I'll have to live without that lighting.
Clearly, I'm frustrated.
But I guess you guys have done all you can to help me find a solution....and I can understand why you believe that somehow I'm doing something wrong / not following instructions since apparently I'm the only one experiencing this issue.
So, I'm going to conclude that there's something unique in my setup (perhaps having to do with Windows 10) that is breaking this part of the install....and at this point, it seems we are all at a "dead end" on this problem.
C'est la vie

Re: Instrument Lights
Hi together,
I am just registered to the Forum to post a Problem that I have and saw this Thread here.
I have EXACTLY the same Problem like P3DNerd. So it is not only one User as it seems
I saw that Nerd has also a GTN from Flight1. Maybe it has something to do with the Aviation Stack Panel Model?
Attached there are some pics from me from the complete darkness.
Interesting is, that in the outside model the cabin is lit.
Kind Regards,
Jens

Re: Instrument Lights
Hey Jens,
Thanks for posting and including your pics.
I thought that I was alone in this (and probably crazy).
Even though we haven't figured out how to correct the problem, at least we're not alone!
Let's hope that we can find a way to resolve this issue.
I don't think it has anything to do with the F1 GTN because I get the same results even if I use no gps as the default in the MVAMS.

Re: Instrument Lights
Hi Nerd,
just to sort a few things out. MyOS is also Win10 (Creators Edition).
because Colin mentioned the Antivirus (which I deactivated during Installation also), You are using WinDefender? I use Norton 360. So there are already 2 different AV Scanner. (the Prepar3d Directory is excluded in Antivir btw)
Second to the UAC. I´ve installed my Prepar3d in a dedicated Root Folder and not in the Standard folder Program Files x86 because just for that reason of UAC Problems.
In a Folder outside of Program Files x86 you normally not needing any Admin Rights, if you are the same User that installed the Software, and if root is not blocked by any policy (which is not by Default).
And third question for now to you nerd:
Do you use any Shader Tweaks like PTA?
I use PTA, because of the more realistic darker night. Don´t know if that could be the Problem?
By the way. The rest of the plane is outstanding. The light is not the most important thing, but sometimes I like flying also by night and this is not possible like as it is now.
Regards,
Jens
