Airspeed indicator malfunction
Hello,
I am asking this on behalf of a friend of mine who has bought the aircraft but does not yet have access to this forum.
Three of us have it, we fly in multiplayer, two have no problems with it.
The misbehaviour is that the airspeed indicator does not display the airspeed recorded in FSX.
He tells me that once flying straight and level, raising the nose raises the indicated airspeed, despite the airspeed in the on screen display reducing.
The opposite occurs when descending and in level flight, the indicated airspeed fluctuates wildly and out of sync with the recorded speed displayed by FSX.
It is the same whether pitot heat is applied or not. This does not happen with any other aircraft that he has tried.
Has anyone any ideas why this might be happening?
Thanks.

Hi,
Please tell your friend that he must do proper walkaround and check that pitot cover is not present. Otherwise he will get erroneous airspeed readings, as he reported. And he must be on ground to remove it.

Re: Airspeed indicator malfunction
from this point, your friend will have to ask himself. And show his/her proof of purchase.

Hi,
I am the friend in question ..... and I now have access to this forum, so will pose my own questions in future.
Thanks to Nick for acting on my behalf, and especially to those who replied. Pitot covers now removed and all is well, thank you.
Dave.
