Nope I downloaded and installed with my Norton 360 running.

So is your advice to turnoff my anti virus protection then.

It's made clear that you must do so for all MV products on the sales pages, manuals etc...

I'm trying again and I excluded the Milviz files from my AV....but just so you know my F86 I downloaded and installed and never touched my AV and the install worked perfectly.

This morning.

I tried again. Uninstall. Isololated from scanning by AV. Reinstall. No joy.

Very, very frustrating.

I have the Milviz Addon Managment System and only my T-50 is listed, is this correct as I also have the F86 and the Stuka.??
Is this module somehow the problem? As I used it to add a co pilot and the GTN and when that didn't work, I changed it back to the default.?

Also there is no co pilot showing when I first ran this plane.
Once again, I had the plane flying on first run, the left gauges were flickering, so I shut P3D v3 down and then returned the gauges to default, and then when I rebooted the sim, and tried to load the t-50 it crashed my P3D.

the stuka and the 86 are no in the mvams... older products. they do have their own menu systems. Read the manuals. Look on the desktop.

the crashing is likely caused by missing libraries.

did you read the thread on possible issues? (what to do before calling the doctor)

Please bear with me. I am not that incompetent.
I have read every manual and supporting material

I do not have any missing MS libraries I have the correct simconnect.
Everything is up to speed.

I have read this list three times, and better yet I even stepped through them one by one, and triple checked every element. Everything is perfect.

So lets get over all this basic stuff.
*********************************************************************
I have checked my FSX installs of the three products I own....and everything is working in default settings.
I JUST DID A SYSTEM RESTORE to a point that I thought might fix a setting or so.

I fired up P3Dv3...my F86 NOW WORKS properly. I also deleted the Stuka using the installer and found I had to manually remove the airplane from my SimObjects>Airplane listing ...I had installed and apparently it will not work in V3 of P3D...I am wondering if this is the issue that I installed it and now it has corrupted something.
My T-50 STILL CRASHES MY SIM.....remember I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and my system it totally up to speed. This is what the error says..which doesn't make any sense.

I just don't get why I would get this message...as it appears to say I have a licensed FSX product that only works in FSX not P3D. Something is very wrong....I keep thinking that the Stuka screwed something up.

That error message had to have come from trying to run the Stuka in the latest P3D v3.xx version.

The T-50 Bobcat is licensed to run in all sim versions.

This was my conclusion as well...so my F86 runs well I just did some flying in it...but no matter what I do I can't get the t-50 to load without crashing my sim. There must be something somewhere like a registry entry or module of something that is kicking it out.

Are you starting the sim in Administrator mode?

What is the exact error message you get when the T-50 "crashes the sim"?

By Error message Bill means the windows error report, not necessarily that dialog box that comes up about the gauge sound.

If you think that libraries are missing, please provide a list of all the libraries you would expect me to have...as I have everything up to date that I know of?

There are multiple things being presented in this thread.
Mine is above.

1. In the past two days, I have uninstalled and reinstalled P3Dv3 client, I have reinstalled older versions, newer versions...and to no avail.
2. Everything in my P3Dv3 works perfectly including my F86.

BUT, 3. My bobcat keeps delivering a stupid error as posted above and this then causes P3D to shut down. The plane works fine in FSX.

I would like someone from Milviz to please tell me how I can fix this, what possible files are affected that somehow provide this error. Are you working on the problem? Anything please?

Bryan

Having multiple issues in the same post can lead to confusion. I have split your posts off into a separate post.

Look for a Milviz_Sound.gau in your Gauges folder. Delete it, then run the T-50 installer again.

Good morning.

I do not have that gauge in my gauges folder.

However, am pretty stupid that I didn't think of this earlier. It may not have been Milviz at all as I had the same error loading in another plane.
I followed LM's suggested approach to installing planes from FSX into P3D from their webpage. While they do provide a warning about unintended consequences, everything seems to work fine so I thought I was in the clear. Turns out that by doing so I must have copied over some plane(s) that are not compatible with P3D or require a separate purchase of a license for P3D, I'm not really sure...however LM does warn folks that there might be issues and I guess I walked into that one by taking the lazy way out of reinstalling.

Last night I removed my sounds, effects, simobjects>airplanes, gauges folders and copied over a set the "clean" original folders for those that I had made as a backup. Fired up the sim and everything is fine. Plus installed the latest P3Dv3 client and then I started reinstalling planes from their installers, RealAir, Carenado, VirtualCol, JustFlight, FlysimWare, Flight Replica's, Aerosoft, etc and Milviz...took me frigging hours.

I fired up the sim again, and am loading planes in one by one, and I did the Milviz.

Everything is working so far and Milviz F-86 fired up beautifully and now the Bobcat also.

Problem is solved. Not sure if there was that gauge there or not but word of warning to folks trying to avoid reinstalls by copying over from FSX, it can also create unintended consequences.

Thanks for you time on this one...I should have been more diligent.

Postscript

I have also now copied over from FSX all my WOAI and other AI airplanes and reinstalled the Orbx FTX AI.

And everything seems to be just fine with the AI installed....so most likely no issues with AI aircraft.
