Ive tried all of the things I know how to do listed int he common issues thread.. yet this is still all I get. Really looking forward to using this model once I get the advice I need or fixed.. thanks for the help.

that's all I needed and totally understand. I get to do most of my sim flying on the weekends so tad eager lol. look forward to getting this figured out.

It looks like your model definition is somehow totally FUBAR. I have never seen anything quite like that, so I am bit baffled. The little bits on the screen there aren't even part of a Huey as far as I can tell.

It is that messed up for both the C and H models?

If it is only one of them, what I would do is completely uninstall it using the installer, then re-download the whole thing and re-install the newly downloaded version. It's rare but sometimes a downloaded file gets its bits scrambled up.

If it is both of them, then it's unlikely to be that.

Have a look in your SimObjects\Rotorcraft folder. In the MILVIZ_Bell_UH1C\Model folder, what files are in there and what are their sizes? Also the same in the MILVIZ_Bell_Uh1H folder.

Let's concentrate on figuring out why FSX can't interpret the model files.

its on all models in the package, it looks like the items i see are just parts of the gauges, I do think your right thinking the dl was whack.. I had to dl on a work pc and unzip it then copy contents to thumbdrive since my home laptop wont unzip. is the first post in this forum the download so i can try again? i got mine from FSshop.. not here. I didnt find this site till after the fact. Ill look at those files when i get home and report back. glad to get feedback.

It should work, or you could download a free utility like 7-zip

Ive tried a few things and Im all but giving up, I think I was misled on the requirements to run this by what is listed on FSshop. I run a bare bones stock fsx deluxe, and have fs9 for years and have hit or miss results with the free aircraft out there, but that is expected also wouldnt be the first time i messed up my sim by moving aircraft files around, ill learn.. I ordered it with the CD so maybe ill try again once i get that if i do. sucks spent 40 bucks on this goin out on a limb. really only wanted the 229th winged assault livery.

You don't have Acceleration? Is that the missing requirement?

i tried to install acceleration and it froze mid install.. had to hard boot and completely uninstall fsx loosing other data. what does it do for me that the fsx base doesnt.. other then missions and a few aircraft. but if thats why the huey wont work, ill give it another try tonight i guess.

yep im dumb. finally got the acceleration pack to install. and it works fine... yes! this huey is sweet! sorry for being a pest, this one was totally my fault.
