P3D reinstall : trim help [SOLVED]

Hello,
I've reinstalled fully P3D4.5, and every addon

Huey's trim is not working: the button choice is correctly accepted in MILVAMS, yet it does not produce the expected effect in sim

I'm sorry for what I am missing, I re-read the manual one million times and searched, so I presume I have some local conflict, so that I ask you for any hint, please

luckily I had bought also the 407, and I found this

switching to DirectInput (not mentioned in user guide) was the solution for me ... probably useful for some other customer

Thanks for letting us know, that will surely help some other people. P3D has so many configuration options, what works great on one installation will fail on another until adjustments are made, and every little bit of info helps!

The force trim doesn't work for me either. I don't have the 407 so I don't have access to the support forum. Could someone please tell me what is meant with direct input?

Direct input is a setting in P3D Options - Controls - Other
