70mm Rockets don't fire due to A/A master mode

Post by Jean Luc Picard » Sat Nov 11, 2017 3:19 am

So I discovered the hard way that when you fire up the Huey the tacpack is usually in A/A master mode and this prevents the 70mm rockets from functioning until you open a flight with the F/A-18E and switch that aircraft's master mode to A/G and then switch aircraft back to the Huey. Is there a way to edit the saved flight file with a text editor to make sure the flight opens in A/G master mode? It occurs to me that if you can manually edit a .flt file to define an LVARS state then you should be able to create a .flt file that fixes the tacpack's state.

??? TACPACK doesn't know anything about A-A and A-G modes. Those are entirely custom pieces of code that differ from aircraft to aircraft and certainly aren't saved in the default flight file system. A possible co-incidence? Something else is happening here.

The Huey has custom code to manage Tacpack weapons (I know, I wrote it) like all Tackpack aircraft and it doesn't pay any attention to any A-A or A-G modes.

The only controls that matter are the simple set on the weapons control panel in the cockpit of the B model (the H has no weapons).
