Radar Altimeter Problem
Just got the Huey and love flying it. The only issue I have is the radar altimeter , seems to be off by about 500 feet. In other worlds if I am at 2,000 feet ASL, and the terrain is 500 feet, the radar should read about 1,500 feet AGL, ( with altimeter set correctly) but it is reading around 1000 feet AGL. As I descend to about 2-300 feet agl, when landing, it reads correctly, and when touching down it reads 0 feet which is correct. Anyone else notice this?

Re: Radar Altimeter Problem
You are correct! I just tried it and for me, it is consistently half of what it should be. At a real altitude of 50 feet it reads 25, and at 500 it reads 250.bobsk8 wrote:Just got the Huey and love flying it. The only issue I have is the radar altimeter , seems to be off by about 500 feet. Obviously, very very few people actually use the Radar altimeter in the Huey - including me

We will get that fixed. It at least is consistent and easily reproducible unlike most problems at this stage.
