Gear down, no greens!

Twice this evening, I lowered my gear on approach, all the suitable noises were heard but there were no green u/c lights! Went outside for a shufti and sure enough all wheels present. My first thought was that the undercarriage had not locked and I braced myself for a collapse of said u/c....No, all good, deployed chute and came to a halt. On to the next stop. Everything worked as it ought. Next stop. Go back to first stop minus the trepidation.
Is this a bug or a feature?

The last install was quite some time ago. Have you flown it recently? Did it have this behavior before?

Also, are you using a hardware device for the gear? If so, please try and use the g key.

Haven't flown it for about a...long time. Started flying it again every evening since last Sunday. Tonight was the first time for this issue. I'll uninstall it and reinstall. Ignore the last modified comment. Brain fart.

The G key? Old school eh? :-)

Uninstalled it. Reinstalled it. Ran MVAMS and it found a later version. I'll see how it goes.

A complete, updated, unadulterated, freshly installed copy of the F100 resulted in the same problem. As it's intermittent, it's hard to pin down specific circumstances. The G key worked when I did use it but then so does the hardware switch. (Warthog throttle) Also noted was the 'Gear not down' warning horn making itself heard even though the gear IS down but no green lights!
I've trawled through the manual and cannot find any reference to a maximum speed for lowering the gear. I've generally lowered it at around 210-200kts.
That's all I can tell you.

That seems pretty fast... if you lower it at a lower speed... what happens?

If it works every time with the G key... or the handle in the vc... then it's likely that it's your warthog...

The same switch on the Warthog works on every other aircraft I own. I have lowered the u/c at over 300kts and it has worked! As the approach speed is 169kts 200kts wouldn't seem to be excessive.

Do the G key and the handle in sim work?

I don't understand the question. Yes the G key works as I've already said. Not sure what you mean by 'handle'. If it's the handle in the VC, yes. The key to this problem is 'intermittent'.

Let me be clear(er):

If you try 20 times with the G key, does it work every time?

If you try 20 times using your warthog, does it work every time? (Likely not but I'm asking for a reason as I'm sure you realize)

20 times? You're kidding, right? I'll live with it. Thanks for your time and trouble.
