Tail hook button not working

Can't get the hook to retract. Push hook button, nothing. Any ideas?

Not supposed to retract, one and done system. Hope you are not working the boat with the Hun, although that would be different!

No "boat". Just activated, then attempted to retract.

Flew the Hun many years ago. Tail hook is for emergency use only. It's a big piece of spring steel being held up by a locking pin. Used it once to keep from running off the end of the runway when the drag chute failed. It was a rookie mistake and proper use of the brakes would have saved me a lot of embarrassment in the officers club later!
