Another lighting issue... sorry (and Radios)

Post by Pilot_paul_r » Tue Apr 03, 2018 1:55 am

Okay, so I’ve just spent the last two hours both in the books and on the forum. I’ve tried everything from updating the simconnect, to turning off all antivirus, to running as Admin, I got DX11, never had the migration tool, re-installed it 3 times yeah... nothing. The only thing that is not working is the interior lighting. Everything else is running flawlessly except for the lighting in the cockpit. I’m in the latest version of P3Dv4.2 anyone got any advice? Super sorry, I know this is a common error. If anyone can help me get this bird ready for night flying it would be much appreciated. Also the Nav radios and TACAN are acting quite weird. You put in a frequency on them and it reverts back to the previous freq without touching anything.

Yes it does. I already had that installed. I ran through the whole other processes, unfortunantly no luck. I feel I could be doing something wrong, but I am not sure what.

Whatever the newest installer is. I purchased it on April 1st. The last update to the installer appears to be in January of this year.

Yeah no joy there. Same installer I was previously running. Any other ideas?

Ok lets take on one thing at a time. First, cockpit lighting.

If you open the task manager, is there a Milviz_lighting_service in the processes list?

There actually is not that in the processing list.

Is there a way to get that running in the processing of CMD prompt?

It should turn itself on. that's why problems of this nature are usually to do with the service not having that permission.

alright. Do you have any recommendations for how to give it permission? That sounds like such a stupid question on my part. Thus far I have tried everything I know to do haha!

So I went to my docs the P3DV4 and I found a ton of “errors” and “failed to loads” for the T-38. How do I correct this?
