T-38 Adv, what am i doing wrong?

I'm having pitch trim issues with the T-38 adv, specifically i have no pitch trim control.

if i 'up' or 'down' trim, nothing happens.
it's like it's always stuck in 'take off' trim setting, constantly pitching up to the point where i have to put the flight stick almost full forwards to compensate.

I tried taking off with 'take off' trim disabled and, in this case, the aircraft pitches down constantly. still with no response from my trim input.

I have seen similar questions in the forum but none of them have solved my issue.
-re calibrated flight controls
-adjusted trim sensitivity in settings
-changes trim axis allocation in settings
-tried re-installing
-yes, I disabled avast when i installed
-ASN settings are matched to reflect T-38 manual requirements
-toggling stability Aug. switch makes no difference

trim works with other aircraft, including corsair, but not T-38.

Am i missing something?

I'm not using the hat for trim, but that's good to know, thanks Colin.

Does the T/O TRIM green light turn on when pressed the T/O trim (@half flaps)?

You must use P3D/FSX default commands for pitch trim. Also, the command "repeat" option must be "slow" (=mid bar) or "fast" (=max right). Preferably it should be "slow".

yeah the T/O trim is working fine.

I've worked it out!

Like others in the support have also said, it uses the 'trim up' and 'trim down' function rather than an axis.
So i made a repeating macro in the saitek profiler and assigned it accordingly. Works perfect.

Many thanks for the awesome support!!
