flight director not working during ILS approach in P3DV4

Hello,
I have been playing quite a bit at different airports with the ILS, and cannot figure if I am doing something wrong, if my plane is broken, or if did not understand ILS in the T38.
During an ILS approach, it seems that the ADI steering needles are not working as they should.
The ILS frequency is properly set, the approach course is set in the HSI, and the Steering Mode switch is on normal :
With the Nav Mode selector on Localizer, I first align roughly with the CDI of the HSI (which is properly working).
Then, looking at the ADI there's as expected only the steering bar (the vertical yellow bar), but it only indicates the bank of the aircraft : the needle is centered when there's no bank, no matter if the plane is on course or off course. And no glide path marker on the left.
Switching the Nav Mode selector to ILS, the glide path marker appears (and properly displays the position of the aircraft with respect to the glide path), as well as the pitch steering bar (the horizontal yellow bar). But the pitch steering bar does not work neither, it does not not steer toward the glide path (but rather keeps centered when the pitch of the aircraft has a certain value).
So to sum up :
(1) no glide path marker when the Nav Mode selector is on Localizer (according to the manual it should be displayed),
and both steering bars of the ADI are not indicating what they should :
(2) the (vertical) steering bar wants you to keep the plane with no banking, and the indication is unrelated to your course deviation,
(3) and the (horizontal) pitch steering bar wants you to maintain a certain pitch (or angle of descent maybe?) but the indication is unrelated to your position with respect to the glide path.
Basically the steering bars do not steer...
I found this older, unanswered, topic with a similar issue :

Thanks for any help
