I can not get the panel lights to turn on to illuminate the gauges. The cabin light and exterior light all works. I can turn on the ext lights using the L key and it brightens up the bezel around the GPS, but the backlight on my gauges are off. I can only fly at night with the cabin light on.

did you turn the generator on?

This problem is solved...very simple solution. I was looking for a panel toggel switch. Not the rotary knob between start pump and anti collision lights. IT works just fine

I looked in the MD500 manual that came with product and it showed light switches on a center consul that is not modeled in this airctraft.
