Re: issue with elevator trim
You may ask "why have a force trim option when the trim buttons work?"
In testing and flying the 530 I find that while I can use the elevator/aileron/rudder trim buttons to change the trim it's quite difficult to get it into the stable condition I want it to be in. It always drifts off fairly quick and I'm constantly trimming and re-trimming. Force trim (a characteristic of Bell helicopters we've implemented on the 407 and Huey) makes it easy - once you are straight and level, simply press force trim and you no longer have to hold the cyclic and rudders in position, just make small adjustments from time to time.
It just makes life easier. To be completely realistic - don't assign a button or use it.
