MD530F Loses Power AFTER Take off

Good day -
Installed the P3D V4.2 Update, and I lose power after take off in your 530F model. I don't understand it - its driving me crazy. I take off, and the RPMS drop right after doing so, and I go into an uncontrollable landing. Anything I might be doing wrong? I have it ready to fly for the sim start up. Thanks for any input!

Likely, you’re maxing our your torque and breaking the engine

don't max out your torque. Watch your gauges... read the manual... watch the video.

My first recommendation will be to read the manual. Specifically the first few pages after the installer. Do NOT pull full throttle to lift the helo. Thats not a good idea. Pull slowly and keep the gauges in the green. The props will accelerate and provide lift. Be patient. You'll get off the ground and flying

Where is the video? Where is the manual - scoured my P3D V4 installation and can not find it anywhere....

Go to the sales page... You will find the manual there... though it is in the file set for the bird.
The video is on our Youtube page.

Well, must have done something right, because I got it off the ground and flew around a while and landed again. Thank you everyone...

I seem to recall that in the previous version (pre v4) it was quite easy to break the engine. Consequently I always kept a weather eye open on the torque gauge. This time it feels indestructible. Did you change something?

Yes. Many things were changed.

So you can't break it by over-doing the torque now?

Yes.. you can. (at least, you're supposed to be able to do so...) It's just not as ... touchy.

That's probably it. I have soft, lady's hands.

I found the same issue (RPM dropping as you increase collective) but realised that the max setting of RPM on the assigned axis hadn’t achieved full throttle on the simulator. Giving the twist throttle a “nudge” with the mouse in the right direction gave the desired response - RPM creates up towards max and collective input kept the RPM in the governing range. Hope that helps.
