MD 530 Not Starting [Resolved]
MD 530 Not starting from cold and dark. After going through the startup procedure as described in the manual the helicopter does not start rotors not turning and no sound of it starting it wont even start using the ctrl/e shortcut .I have tried loading it several times without any success, considering this is one of the dearest priced helicopters available i am very dissapointed. Iam using P3D v4.5 on a windows 10 PC

If you select ready to fly in mvams does it open up running?

Chamged and saved the default settings using MVAMs to READY TO FLY and after reloading the MD 530 it is still not running

I wasn't able to reproduce your issue
Lets see if we can get you sorted:
1)Did you run the installer as admin?
2)Ctrl-E will not start the helicopter.
3)MVAMS settings are per helicopter so each livery has it's own settings. Please check you are using the same livery that you are setting up in MVAMS
The starting procedure is on page 5 of the manual, make sure you have fuel in the heli give it a try:
1) KEY ON
2) Red FUEL button IN
3) Battery and Fuel pump ON
4) Starter is engaged by pressing the start button on the front of the collective for 15 seconds. (no more no less)
5) Rotate twistgrip toward ground idle until engine lights off
6) When N1 indicates 12 to 15 percent.
7) Listen for click as the throttle is rotated out of cutoff,
8) Monitor TOT and N1 and adjust twistgrip to accelerate N1 to idle (61% − 65%) while maintaining TOT within
specified limits.
9) Insure twist- grip is in the ground idle detent once N1 is at idle (61% − 65%).
10) Full throttle for flight.
11) Gen on

Thanks Slayer, I have re-installed it and following your start up sequence seems to have solved the problem, also although there is no mixture lever in the cockpit the mixture lever on my quadrant has to be fully on ( a left over from the FSX days ). My only problem now is configuring the switches to work on my control panel using SpadNext.
